As we enter our next phase of growth and international expansion, we’re excited to announce the appointment of Fidelma Beagan as our Chief Executive Officer.
Fidelma succeeds Dr Jonny Gordon, who co-founded the company in 2018 and has played a leading role in establishing ScribePro as a trusted digital medical management platform within elite sport.
Ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Jonny confidently hands over the CEO reins to Fidelma enabling him to focus on his ongoing roles in emergency medicine and football, including his position as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Men’s National Team Doctor at the Scottish Football Association (SFA).
With a background in physiology and neuroscience, and seven years’ experience in technology, Fidelma brings experience spanning software engineering, product management and strategic leadership in sports and health technology. Since joining ScribePro in 2020 as one of the company’s earliest full-time team members, she has worked across technical, operational and product functions, playing a key role in shaping the platform’s development alongside clinicians and high-performance medical teams.
Dr Jonny Gordon said: “Fidelma has been instrumental in the evolution of ScribePro since she joined the team and has helped shape both the product and the wider strategic direction of the business. She brings a rare combination of technical understanding, product vision and leadership, alongside a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by clinicians working in elite sport.
“Fidelma has unrivalled experience of the product, business and sports context and a fantastic vision for where to take the company that she’s perfectly placed to lead ScribePro through this next phase. With the World Cup approaching and my ongoing commitments with the SFA and wider medical roles, now feels like the right time to hand over, knowing the company is in extremely capable hands.”
Fidelma’s appointment reflects ScribePro’s continued commitment to remaining a product-led business focused on delivering practical, clinician-centred technology that supports athlete health, medical governance and communication within high-performance environments.
She said: “ScribePro was built around a very clear purpose – creating technology that genuinely supports clinicians and improves player care. Having worked closely with Jonny, our development team and medical professionals from across elite sport, I’ve had the opportunity to help shape the platform from both a technical and product perspective.
“As the demands surrounding athlete welfare, medical governance and communication continue to evolve, there is a growing need for intuitive, secure and clinically focused digital systems. I’m excited to lead the next stage of ScribePro’s growth while continuing to ensure the product remains closely aligned with the real-world needs of medical teams and organisations across sport.”
Founded in Glasgow, ScribePro has developed a growing international presence across professional and elite sport, providing digital medical management software designed to support player welfare, injury management and clinical decision-making.
